Broadway Rehearsals: Capturing the Raw Talent of Gabrielle Gutierrez

Recently, I had the pleasure of being contacted by Gabrielle, an incredible singer from Los Angeles, to document the behind-the-scenes (BTS) of her rehearsals for Broadway.

There is something deeply personal about rehearsal spaces. It’s where the magic is built, and as a photographer, I live for these environments. For this session, I chose to work entirely with low light and no flash. I’ve always found that skipping the flash allows the natural atmosphere to breathe, resulting in images that feel more cinematic, raw, and authentic.

Gabrielle is a force of nature—truly raw talent in its purest form. Watching her work and capturing those high-contrast, moody moments through my lens was a beautiful experience.
